Our Frequently Asked Questions
Check-in is at 6pm and check-out is at 10am. These times are to allow for the extra cleaning required to make the house Covid safe – we hope these will be relaxed at some point in the future!
Our car, 188cm wide, is a snug fit. Any car larger, such as a VW Transporter, will have to be parked on the road.
The nearest available parking is back on North St. which is around 100 metres away.
These are all included in the price of rental.
The outdoor area is for the sole use of the occupants of Barns Cottage.
The garden / hot tub area has mature trees around the perimeter, so it is very private.
Wood is not provided. Firewood can be purchased from Tescos or any local gas station.
Because every item in the house is sanitised for Covid cleaning, we had had to strip back on a lot of things we would like to provide our guests. We do however provide dishwashing liquid, laundry detergent, toilet paper and hand sanitiser on arrival. Basics such as salt, perpper and oil are removed at the end of each stay.
Currently, we only plan around a year and a half in an advance for our bookings, and our website reflects that. If you have a special date in mind, but cannot make a booking through the website, please contact us and we’d be happy to make arrangements.
